---Outburst System---
The special attack system of the Sacred Earth Series. When a character attacks three times, they are then able to use a stronger special attack or support skill. These skills can be rather abusive if they were allowed to be used with no consequence, so a mini-lock is placed on them to slow things down a bit. Another thing to note is that when a character defends, they lose an Outburst Point in exchange for Mighty Guard.
---Action Rewards System---
In the beginning of battle a message is displayed at the top right of the battle screen. This is an action reward. The specified action is on top and the reward is on the bottom. Do the action to get the reward. There are three action rewards per battle, and the rewards get better as the battle goes on.
---Finish Burst System---
All powerful signature finishing attacks. All party members and some enemies have these. In the case of party members, there is a large gauge at the top of the battle screen. It fills up a point when a character uses an outburst skill. When the gauge hits ten, all character's have their Finish Bursts unlocked. When one character uses a finish burst, then the other party members lose their Finish Burst command their command menus revert to normal.
---Three Layered Personal Action System---
Party members have three personal actions each. Their first action is available under normal conditions. When a character can use Outburst, then their personal action changes to their second one, and then Finish Burst is unlocked, then their personal action changes to their last one.
---Strengths & Weakness Struggle---
All base offensive spells decrease the target's resistance to the element of the attack/spell. To counter that, there are spells known as 'shield spells' that increase resistance to a certain element as well as restoring LF. Use this knowledge to your advantage in order to deal the most damage you can as well as healing large amounts after getting hit.
---Innate Elemental Strengths & Weaknesses---
All playable characters have their own set of elementa strengths and weaknesses. So you may find that character taking lots of damage on one floor and then barely taking any on the next. This is because of their innate elemental strengths & weaknesses.
The game will never outright tell you what your character's weaknesses are. The player must come to the answer on their own. All that's provided are clues such as what elements that character's Ether Spells are.
Take Veili for example, she controls Crystal(Ice), and to a lesser degree, Aqua(Water). From there it should be easy to figure out what to watch out for with her.
Annnd that's all for this update, till next time.
